SUMMARY:Field Trip: ICE! Featuring Home Alone
DESCRIPTION:Details: \n\n\n\nJoin our group as we enjoy a field trip at ICE taking place at Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Convention Center.  Enjoy this dazzling\, immersive\, story-driven holiday showplace complete with larger-than-life ice sculptures\, thrilling frozen slides\, and awe-inspiring tunnels.  This event is for the entire family\, everyone is welcome.  A beloved holiday story comes to life at ice! featuring “Home Alone.” Journey through captivating tunnels\, zip down two-story ice slides\, and see your favorite characters including Kevin and the Wet Bandits all intricately carved out of 2 million pounds of ice. \n\n\n\nAll participants should dress warm\, bring gloves\, a hat\, and a heavy jacket.  ICE is kept at a constant 9 degrees\, so it doesn’t melt.  Everyone will be provided a large parka that goes over your jacket to help keep you warm.  This large immersive walk-through experience includes over two million pounds of carved colorful ice created by skilled artisans from Harbin\, China.  Families are welcome to enjoy the exhibit as long as you like once inside (typically people remain inside anywhere from 20-40 minutes).   \n\n\n\nFamilies should arrive by 1:45pm to check in and be ready to enter ICE at our scheduled time of 2pm. Once you’ve checked in with me and entered the ICE exhibit you may cruise through it at your leisure. We do not have to remain together as a group. \n\n\n\nChildren 4 years and older and adults all must have a ticket in order to enter. Tickets are $26 each. All students must be accompanied by a responsible adult; this is not a drop off field trip. \n\n\n\nTickets on sale until 5 pm on November 9\, 2026 unless they sell out sooner. This trip requires a minimum in order to proceed. \n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\nGaylord Opryland Resort \n\n\n\nHealth & Safety Policy Regulations: \n\n\n\nIf you or a family member has been sick 2 days prior to the field trip or is currently sick\, please do not attend this field trip.  Please help us keep the entire group healthy by adhering to these rules. \n\n\n\nRules & Regulations: \n\n\n\nEach individual attending this trip/event must have a ticket purchased directly from Nashville Homeschool Calendar by the ticket purchase deadline. If tickets are not secured through Nashville Homeschool Calendar by such deadline\, individuals will not be permitted to participate in the trip/event. Walk-ins or individuals who purchase tickets outside of Nashville Homeschool Calendar (contacting the venue directly) will not be accepted as part of the group\, nor will you receive the discounted group rate. \n\n\n\nRefunds will be considered until September 30\, 2026. After that date\, it is your responsibility to find someone to take your place if you can no longer attend or you will forfeit your tickets. Admin fees are non-refundable. \n\n\n\nBookings open September 1\, 2026 to Premium Members and September 8\, 2026 to Standard Members.

SUMMARY:Special Event: Nutcracker - Magical Christmas Ballet
DESCRIPTION:Details: \n\n\n\nAmerica’s Largest Nutcracker Tour! \n\n\n\nMake this the Christmas they’ll never forget with NUTCRACKER! Magical Christmas Ballet. Experience the largest Nutcracker production in North America — a breathtaking holiday spectacle featuring world-class international dancers\, gravity-defying acrobatics\, magnificent costumes\, and towering puppets. Set to Tchaikovsky’s iconic score\, this grand production transforms the stage into an unforgettable celebration of the season — one your family will treasure for years to come.  \n\n\n\nThis performance will be taking place at the Fisher Center for Performing Arts on Belmont University’s campus.  Parking for events at this venue is free.  Parking is in a multi-level parking garage across the street from the venue.  Our group has been granted a group discounted rate for this performance. There are six ticket options available. A Gold Circle ticket is located in the Orchestra Center row E\, is considered preferred seating\, comes with a Premium Nutcracker ornament\, and a limited-edition collectible photography book for $120 per ticket. Ticket A is located in the Orchestra Center row M for $80 per ticket. Ticket B is located in the Orchestra Right row L or M for $72 per ticket. Ticket C is located in the Orchestra Right row X for $55 per ticket. Ticket D is located in the Balcony Right row A for $45 per ticket. Ticket E is located in the Balcony Right row C or D for $37 per ticket. This group pricing discount will save you money versus purchasing individually through the box office. This production is scheduled to begin at 7 pm. \n\n\n\nTickets must be picked up from Will Call/Box Office with a photo I.D. ideally no later than 30 minutes before the show starts. This is a special event which means we do not meet as a group. However\, our group seats will be located in close proximity to one another. Each family that purchases tickets will indeed have seats next to each other. If multiple families are going together\, it is important that you notify Jennifer that you want tickets next to each other. \n\n\n\nPlease note: Do your own research before determining if this show is suitable for your kids\, each family is different. \n\n\n\nRSVP and payment for guaranteed seats are due by 5 pm on September 3\, 2026\, unless they sell out sooner. \n\n\n\nTickets may be able to be secured after the due date only if seats are still available. Contact Jennifer after the due date so she can check directly with the venue. DESCRIPTION:Details: \n\n\n\nFilmed in TPAC’s Polk Theater\, actor Mark Cabus portrays eighteen different characters in Dickens’ classic tale. This original interpretation vividly recreates the haunting\, compelling and often humorous novella celebrated worldwide for its literary and theatrical impact. \n\n\n\nA Christmas Carol is produced by Mark Cabus and presented by TPAC Education. \n\n\n\nCurriculum Connections: Historical Literature\, Relationship Skills\, Self-Awareness\, Economics and Civics\, Theatrical Presentation\, Solo Performance \n\n\n\nThis is a virtual event that the entire family can enjoy together.  Only one ticket is required to secure this field trip.   \n\n\n\nThe video will be available to access and view from November 16\, 2026 – December 18\, 2026. \n\n\n\nThis production has a running time of 75 minutes. \n\n\n\nThis production is recommended for students in grades 5-12 based on the content. \n\n\n\nTickets are available to purchase until December 15\, 2026\, at 5pm. \n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\nVirtual \n\n\n\nTicket Information: \n\n\n\nA link and password will be emailed to those families who secure tickets for this show as early as November 16\, 2026\, or when you secure tickets after that date.  That link will be available and accessible during the dates listed above. \n\n\n\nRules & Regulations: \n\n\n\nLinks and passwords may not be shared with other families.  That information should remain with the individual it is shared with. \n\n\n\nNo refunds available.  Admin fees are non-refundable. \n\n\n\nBookings open September 1\, 2026 to Premium Members and September 8\, 2026 to Standard Members.
