SUMMARY:Field Trip: Velveteen\, A New Musical
DESCRIPTION:Details: \n\n\n\nInspired by the beloved book\, The Velveteen Rabbit by Margery Williams\, this new magical musical Velveteen\, from Playhouse Square\, introduces us to Lulu\, her gran\, her beloved toys\, and a nest of legendary rabbits. Lulu confronts big change\, having just moved in with her Gran. To make things a little more comfortable\, Gran gives her a velveteen rabbit – just like the one her mom had. Velveteen and Lulu form a special bond\, making some of the other toys jealous and leaving Velveteen wishing he could live outside with the “real” rabbits he meets through the window. As Lulu grows up\, Velveteen ultimately finds a sense of belonging\, discovering the power of love and what it means to be Real. The production brings magic and transformation to life onstage with a visionary set and playful costumes. Join us for an enchanted retelling of a timeless tale that will resonate across generations. \n\n\n\nCurriculum Connections: Early Learning & Development\, Music\, Children’s Literature\, Character\, Musical Theatre Performance\, Perspective and Storytelling \n\n\n\nThis production is recommended for students in grades PreK-3\, although other ages are welcome. \n\n\n\nA student must be accompanied by an adult in order to attend this production.  Families are asked to arrive by 10:00am to check in\, the show will start PROMPTLY at 10:30am. Our entire group must be present before we can be seated. It is important that families try to be punctual for the sake of the group. The show has a running time of 60 minutes. No food or drink is allowed in the theater for this show\, this includes gum. \n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\nTPAC’s James K. Polk Theater \n\n\n\nTicket Information: \n\n\n\nAll attendees\, regardless of age must have a ticket to attend.  Tickets available until 5 pm on September 6\, 2026\, unless they sell out sooner. This trip requires a minimum in order to proceed. \n\n\n\nHealth & Safety Policy Regulations: \n\n\n\nIf you or a family member has been sick 2 days prior to the field trip or is currently sick\, please do not attend this field trip.  Please help us keep the entire group healthy by adhering to these rules. \n\n\n\nRules & Regulations: \n\n\n\nEach individual attending this trip/event must have a ticket purchased directly from Nashville Homeschool Calendar by the ticket purchase deadline. If tickets are not secured through Nashville Homeschool Calendar by such deadline\, individuals will not be permitted to participate in the trip/event. Walk-ins or individuals who purchase tickets outside of Nashville Homeschool Calendar (contacting the venue directly) will not be accepted as part of the group. \n\n\n\nNo refunds due to the short window of ticket sales. It is your responsibility to find someone to take your place if you can no longer come or you will forfeit your tickets. Admin fees are non-refundable. \n\n\n\nBookings open immediately to all members.
