SUMMARY:Special Event: Some Like it Hot
DESCRIPTION:Details: \n\n\n\nSet in Chicago when Prohibition has everyone thirsty for a little excitement\, SOME LIKE IT HOT is the “glorious\, big\, high-kicking” (Associated Press) story of two musicians forced to flee the Windy City after witnessing a mob hit. With gangsters hot on their heels\, they catch a cross-country train for the life-chasing\, life-changing trip of a lifetime. \n\n\n\nAnd what a trip it is! With its irresistible combination of heart and laughs\, song and dance\, SOME LIKE IT HOT won more theater awards than any show in its season\, and was named Best Musical by the Drama Desk\, The Drama League\, and the Outer Critics Circle. No wonder Deadline calls it “a tap-dancing\, razzle-dazzling embrace of everything you love about musical theater.” \n\n\n\nThis performance will be taking place in the Andrew Jackson Hall at TPAC.  Our group has been granted a student group discounted rate for this performance. Ticket cost is $33 per ticket. Seats are located in the middle/rear Tier rows K-M. This student group pricing discount will save you money versus purchasing individually through the box office. If multiple families are going together\, it is important that you notify Jennifer that you want tickets next to each other. \n\n\n\nPlease note: Do your own research before determining if this show is suitable for your kids\, each family is different. \n\n\n\nRSVP and payment for guaranteed seats are due by 5 pm on January 25\, 2026\, unless they sell out sooner. \n\n\n\nTickets may be able to be secured after the due date only if seats are still available. Contact Jennifer after the due date so she can check directly with the venue. This trip requires a minimum to proceed. \n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\nTennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC) \n\n\n\nRules & Regulations: \n\n\n\nEach individual attending this trip/event must have a ticket purchased directly from Nashville Homeschool Calendar by the ticket purchase deadline. Based on Ron Chernow’s acclaimed biography and set to a score that blends hip-hop\, jazz\, R&B\, and Broadway\, HAMILTON has had a profound impact on culture\, politics\, and education. HAMILTON features book\, music\, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda\, direction by Thomas Kail\, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler\, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire. In addition to its 11 Tony Awards\, it has won Grammy®\, Olivier Awards\, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama\, and an unprecedented special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors. \n\n\n\nThis performance will be taking place in the Andrew Jackson Hall at TPAC.  Our group has been granted a group discounted rate for this performance. Ticket E is located in the rear Tier and rear Balcony for $60 per ticket. This group pricing discount will save you money versus purchasing individually through the box office. This production is scheduled to begin at 1 pm. \n\n\n\nTickets must be picked up from Will Call/Box Office with a photo I.D. ideally no later than 30 minutes before the show starts. If multiple families are going together\, it is important that you notify Jennifer that you want tickets next to each other. \n\n\n\nPlease note: Do your own research before determining if this show is suitable for your kids\, each family is different. \n\n\n\nRSVP and payment for guaranteed seats are due by 5 pm on March 23\, 2026\, unless they sell out sooner.
