SUMMARY:Virtual Field Trip: La Maleta de Maebelle
DESCRIPTION:Details: \n\n\n\nThis bilingual adaptation of a beloved Reading Rainbow picture book\, Maebelle’s Suitcase\, features a two-person cast with various styles of puppetry and Colombian music. The story follows Maebelle\, an incredible hat maker who’s been working hard ahead of the town’s annual hat contest. Maebelle befriends Binkle\, a bird with a migration dilemma – his packing items are too large and heavy to carry with him! Through laughter and tears\, Maebelle and Binkle help each other discover the beauty of remembrance and the liberating power of letting go. Multigenerational audiences will love this enchanting tale celebrating friendship\, cultural heritage\, and the universal lessons found within the stories of our lives. La Maleta de Maebelle is produced by Glass Half Full Theatre. \n\n\n\nCurriculum Connections: Performance\, Puppetry\, Music\, Adapting a Book into a Play\, Spanish Language & Culture\, Animal Migration\, Relationship Skills\, Bilingual Storytelling\, Problem Solving \n\n\n\nThis is a virtual event that the entire family can enjoy together.  Only one ticket is required to secure this field trip.  However\, it is important that you make note of how many students and adults will be enjoying this experience from your home. \n\n\n\nThe video will be available to access and view from October 19\, 2026 – November 13\, 2026. \n\n\n\nThis production has a 55-minute running time. \n\n\n\nThis production is recommended for students in grades K-4 based on the content. \n\n\n\nTickets are available to purchase until October 16\, 2026\, at 5pm. \n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\nVirtual \n\n\n\nTicket Information: \n\n\n\nA link and password will be emailed to those families who secure tickets for this show by October 20\, 2026\, or after tickets are secured (if secured after October 20th).  That link will be available and accessible during the dates listed above. \n\n\n\nRules & Regulations: \n\n\n\nLinks and passwords may not be shared with other families.  That information should remain with the individual it is shared with. \n\n\n\nRefunds considered until September 15\, 2026.  Admin fees are non-refundable. \n\n\n\nBookings open immediately to all members.
